Assembly robot with new servo axis

The secret of success in the assembly of micromechanical parts for the medical and microsystems technology as well as the watch-and-clock-making industry is based on the combination of selected core technologies and plant concepts. For high-precision applications in the watch-and-clock-making industry agenium systems has developed an assembly robot with a new servo axis. It presses in ruby stones ( ø 0.7 mm), which serve the cohesion of single watch components, or pins ( ø 0.6 mm) in a precision of under 5 m in the depth.

Different measuring systems include the by bend of the axis and the part; an iterative process settles the data and corrects the axis movement. The press-in of microparts is only one of the possible technologies which can be integrated in different basic machines. Depending on the demanded automation degree individual jobs, -assembly robots, linear transfer plants or 12-stations rotary table machines can be used for the processing of up to 36 parts.

The company agenium systems GmbH, micromechanics expert for assembly, measuring and inspection, writing and lasers, has been the representative for micro assembly plants of the company SMS Spinnler AG in Germany since January 2008.
